Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up using a third-party service (such as Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your payment card details. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

Content You Create

We store the videos, scripts, and other content you create using our Service. This includes any documents, links, or source materials you upload for video generation.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and device information (browser type, operating system, IP address).

We use a product-analytics processor to understand how features are used; it receives usage and performance data, not the content of the documents you provide or the videos you create.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers:We work with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, product analytics, and the AI providers described under "AI Processing" below). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

Google Workspace Data

When you use the ngram add-on for Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides, we access only the file you currently have open, and only at the moment you ask us to create a video from it. We read the text content of that file so it can serve as the source material for your video. The add-on requests per-file access only; it does not browse, read, or index any other file in your Google Drive.

The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We do not use Google Workspace data — whether raw, aggregated, anonymized, or derived — to create, train, or improve generalized or foundational machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
  • We do not permit the third-party AI providers that process this content on our behalf to use it to train or improve their models.
  • We do not transfer Google Workspace data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers, and we do not sell it.
  • We use Google Workspace data only to provide and improve the user-facing features you invoke, and retain it only as described under Data Retention.

AI Processing

Creating a video is an automated process carried out by AI models. To produce your video, ngram sends the source material you provide — and content derived from it, such as the generated script, scene descriptions, image prompts, and narration text — to third-party AI providers acting as our sub-processors. These providers perform:

  • Text generation, for scripting, storyboarding, and scene planning
  • Image and video generation, for the visuals in each scene
  • Speech synthesis, to produce the narration audio
  • Speech-to-text, to align captions with the narration we generated
  • Web search and page retrieval, when your source material references a website or links to a document

These providers process the content only to return the result we request, and are required by contract or by their terms of service not to use content received from ngram to train or improve their models. No ngram model is trained on your content. A current list of the sub-processors we use is available on request through our contact page.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or business purposes.
